All Invited Speakers and Oral Presenters must check in with their presentation on a USB Memory stick with the technician at the Speakers’ Ready Area. Please ensure your PowerPoint presentation is formatted in Widescreen (16:9).

Below you will find essential guidelines for preparing and uploading your presentation slides for IPVS 2026. Click on each section to expand the details.

  • Requirement: Please check in and upload your presentation on a USB memory stick at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled session.

  • Disclosure Requirement: In compliance with CME/CPD requirements, all speakers and oral presenters must complete a conflict of interest disclosure.

  • Title Slide: Slide 1 must include your presentation title and your name.

  • Disclosure Slide: Slide 2 must list your conflicts of interest or explicitly state “Nothing to Disclose”.

  • Time Allocation: You must address your disclosure slide for at the beginning of your presentation.

  • Slide Design: Keep slides clean, legible, and uncluttered with minimal text and clear graphics to maximize audience engagement and clarity.

  • PowerPoint Review Tools: Utilize built-in PowerPoint tools under the Review tab (such as Check Accessibility and Spelling) to catch typos and ensure readability.

  • Pacing & Practice: Use Rehearse with Coach or Rehearse Timings (found under the Slide Show tab).

  • Peer Review: Consider having a colleague review your deck and your presentation prior to finalizing to optimize overall message delivery.

  • Session Hall Hardware: Only official conference computers (equipped with Office 2019+ and native 16:9 projection) are used in session halls. Personal laptops cannot be connected in session rooms.
  • Video Clips: If your presentation contains embedded videos, test them with technicians at the Speakers’ Ready Room at least 2 hours before your session. Additionally, verify videos with the session hall technician during a coffee or lunch break at least 30 minutes prior to the session starting.

  • File Format: Convert your Mac presentation to .pptx (PowerPoint) or .pdf before bringing it to the Speakers’ Ready Room.

  • Fonts: Use standard cross-platform system fonts (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana) to prevent formatting shifts or default font replacements on PC systems.

  • Images: Insert all images as JPG files (avoid TIF, PNG, or PICT formats, as they may not render correctly on PowerPoint-based PC systems).
