Early May 2026

Awareness Track Notifications

Despite major advances and global leadership in cervical cancer prevention, HPV-related oropharyngeal, anal, penile, vulvar, and vaginal cancers, as well as conditions such as genital warts and recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP), remain underrecognized in clinical practice, public discourse, and research agendas. Building on the foundation of cervical cancer elimination efforts, this awareness track will spotlight epidemiological trends, lived patient experiences, and the growing implications of non-cervical HPV-related disease across the lifespan.

Submissions should explore opportunities for integrated awareness campaigns, unified prevention strategies, and inclusive messaging that spans cervical cancer and the full spectrum of HPV-related cancers and conditions. Emphasis is placed on culturally responsive approaches that lead to measurable outcomes and real-world prevention impact. The track prioritizes community-driven and co-designed initiatives, recognizing youth, NGOs, patient advocates, and grassroots organizations as equal partners in prevention, not passive recipients of information.

Contributions are encouraged from all global regions, including Latin America, Africa, Asia, North America, and beyond, to share practical experiences, lessons learned, and models that have succeeded and/or failed in building trust and strengthening public confidence.

This track aims to bridge scientific advances and community implementation, ensuring innovation translates into tangible prevention outcomes rather than remaining theoretical.

All proposals must align with the Awareness Track’s unified theme: The Cervix and Beyond: Expanding HPV Awareness Across All HPV-Related Cancers and Conditions. This includes cervical cancer, non-cervical HPV-related cancers, HPV-related non-cancer conditions (such as RRP and genital warts), and lifespan impacts affecting children, adolescents, and adults.

Submissions should focus on practical, evidence-informed, and community-driven approaches that expand awareness, prevention, and public confidence across the full spectrum of HPV-related cancers and conditions. Proposals focused primarily on cervical cancer should explicitly situate their work within broader HPV-related diseases, conditions, or integrated awareness strategies.

Applicants are expected to demonstrate real-world strategies that:
• Build trust and address misinformation, stigma, or lack of awareness
• Strengthen community engagement
• Lead to measurable improvements in prevention uptake, awareness, or behavior change
