Special Interest Sessions – IPVS 2026
Special Interest Sessions provide a platform to explore specific HPV-related topics in depth, combining expert presentations with interactive discussions that actively engage the audience. They also give IPVS members the opportunity to shape the scientific content of the conference.
Key Features
- Special Interest Sessions are distinct from regular abstract submissions.
- They are proposal-based, interactive sessions designed to shape the scientific program and foster in-depth discussion around focused HPV topics.
In-person only: The sessions will be held exclusively in person.
Interdisciplinary encouraged: Sessions that bridge multiple disciplines are highly welcome.
Open to all HPV-related topics: Proposals on any HPV-relevant subject will be considered.
Promoting collaboration: Interactions with NGOs, academic institutions, and other stakeholders are encouraged.
Keyword-based submission: Submissions should include 3–5 keywords describing the focus of the session.
The IPVS encourages members to propose innovative and engaging special interest sessions for the 2026 conference.
Practical Information
Content Guidelines:
Presentations should be distinct from topics submitted through the regular abstract process.
Sessions should be thought-provoking, encouraging discussion both during and after the session.
Sessions can be 60 or 90 minutes in length, and different formats are encouraged.
Ample time should be devoted to discussion and interaction.
Role of the Nominator:
The Nominator is fully responsible for ensuring that all proposed chairs and speakers are aware of the session, willing to participate, and able to attend the conference in person.
Acceptance of a proposal does not relieve the Nominator of this responsibility.
The Nominator will be the main point of contact for the session and is the only person to receive the notification of acceptance or rejection.
Review Process:
After the submission deadline, proposals will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
Only a limited number of sessions will be included in the scientific program.
Financial Responsibility:
IPVS will not cover registration fees, travel, or accommodation for session chairs or speakers.
